SUMMARY: Maintains facilities according to schedule and need. Performs a variety of preventive and routine maintenance and repairs including but not limited to simple electrical (under the guidance of a Master Electrician) mechanical plumbing and carpentry. Assist other maintenance personnel as needed.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Repairs and maintains physical structure of facilities:
- carpentry
- plastering
- painting
- plumbing
- welding
- grounds keeping
- Builds or erects physical structures using hand and power tools.
- Conducts scheduled machine lubrication.
- Performs scheduled machine filter replacements.
- Performs equipment repairs as needed or requested.
- Assists other maintenance personnel (Mechanical Plant Engineers and Electricians) install maintain or repair equipment machines and electrical or electronic equipment.
- Performs Plant Service or janitorial duties as needed and/or directed.
- All other duties as needed and assigned by supervision and management.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong mechanical ability and experience.
- Good working knowledge in carpentry plumbing painting mechanical and electrical.
- Experienced in use of appropriate maintenance tools and equipment.
- Selfmotivated. Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Certified welder.
- Forklift and scissor lift certification.
- Able to work in confined spaces.
- Must be able to work at heights.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
High school education or equivalent.
Twoyear technical school certificate in a trade skill or equivalent work experience preferred.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS
Able to communicate effectively with coworkers as a member of a team.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Basic math skills needed.
REASONING ABILITY
Technical problemsolving skills in the area of machines and equipment.
CERTIFICATES. LICENSES REGISTRATIONS
Welding preferred.

Manufacturing environment.

First shift: 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM Monday through Friday
COMPENSATION
Facilities II pay scale $23.15 $30.12 per hour DOQ
