Job Description
POSITIONSUMMARY:
This positionsupports the work of the Y a leading nonprofit charitable organization committedto strengthening community through youth development healthy living and social responsibility. The SeniorProgram Director at YMCA of Collier County oversees the development and operations of variousprograms including healthy living aquatics sports and/or other programs anddesigns practices processes andprocedures for strong program and project management.
ESSENTIALFUNCTIONS:
1.Supervisesand Manages 4 Directors in aquatics adult and youth sports healthy livingand social activities.
2.Developsimplements and manages operating plans to promote program and/or membershipgrowth for the YMCA. Measures progress against strategic goals and ensurescontinuous improvement.
3.Assurescompliance with state and local regulations. Ensure that program standards aremet and safety procedures are followed.
4.Develops andcontrols department budgets related to the position so that resources aredevoted to top priorities and strategic objectives.
5.Uses data toanalyze financial trends and forecast future financial progress for theorganization.
6.Hirestrains and supervises staff and volunteers in assigned areas. Organizes peopleand activities for efficiencies and effectiveness.
7.Ensures highquality memberfocused programs through innovative program developmentdemonstrating courageous and intelligent risk taking with awareness ofsocietal economic and political issues and their impact on the strategicdirection of the organization.
8.Rewards andrecognizes new and relevant ideas and approaches even if not successful.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelorsdegree in human services social services recreation business or equivalent.
YMCATeam Leader or MultiTeam Leader certification preferred.
Fouror more years of program management experience preferably in a YMCA or othernonprofit agency.
Abilityto direct programs through supervision of volunteers and staff development andmonitoring of budgets marketing and public relations program development andfundraising.
Preferknowledge of and previous experience with diverse populations.
Proventrack record of developing authentic and deepened relationships with others.
Abilityto establish and maintain collaborations with community organizations.
