Job Title: Power Plant Maintenance Mechanic
Location: Company located in Bakersfield Ca. Various project sites across California (San Diego to Redding) Must be willing to travel
(Per diem provided for hotel stays & mileage reimbursement available)
Pay:$25 $40 per hour (DOE)
Job Summary:
Key Staffing is seeking experienced Power Plant Maintenance Mechanics to join our client for projectbased work across California. This role requires skilled mechanics with a strong background in power plant maintenance and the oil & gas industry. Candidates must be flexible with travel safetyconscious and prepared to work in a physically demanding environment.

Responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance repair and troubleshooting of power plant equipment including turbines pumps compressors generators and other mechanical systems.
- Conduct inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure operational efficiency and safety compliance.
- Work with a team to complete scheduled and emergency maintenance tasks within project timelines.
- Adhere to all safety protocols including confined space entry and proper use of PPE.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years as a maintenance mechanic in power plants and/or the oil & gas industry.
- Certifications: Confirmed Confined Space Training is required.
- Travel Ability: Willingness to travel throughout California for projects is required.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy equipment work in confined spaces and perform duties in various weather conditions.
- Safety Compliance: Must adhere to all sitespecific safety policies and procedures.
Dress Code / PPE Requirements:
- Mandatory: Hard hat (in good condition) safety glasses longsleeve shirt pants and steeltoe boots.
- Recommended: Bring gloves if available.
