POSITION:Summer Youth Employment Keller
SALARY:$17.25 per hour
REPORTS TO:Youth Educator Specialist
LOCATION: Youth Development Program
Basic Functions:The SYEP provides work experience job readiness skills and training needed to gain full time employment. Youth accepted into the SYEP shall be temporary employees as provided for under the Confederated Tribes of the Colville Reservations Employee Personnel Manual (EPM) and subject to the EPMs provisions unless otherwise provided for in these Guidelines.The SYEP will pay a minimum wage not to exceed a total of 40 hour work week within the five(5 week program up to a maximum of 200hours. An employer may extend the employee beyond these maximum requirements but the SYEP shall not pay for cost resulting from that extension.
Follow The Colville Tribes Indian Preference in Hiring Policy; (Preference will be given to High School Junior and Seniors);
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Training:
- Must be a high school student ages 1418 on the first day of employment
- Provide proof of Certification of Indian Blood Birth Certificate Social Security card State ID School ID or License

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- Must be age 14 18 on or before start date 06.23.2025
Note: Pursuant to Tribal Policy if this position is safety sensitive it is subject to preemployment drug testing. In addition this position is subject to reasonable suspicion and postaccident drug testing.
TRIBAL MEMBER AND INDIAN PREFERENCE WILL APPLY; PREFERENCE WILL ALSO BE GIVEN TO HONORABLY DISCHARGED VETERANS WHO ARE MINIMALLY QUALIFIED.
If required of this position you must possess and maintain avalid Washington State drivers license and be eligible for the Tribes Vehicle Insurance. In addition this position may be subject to preemployment background clearances.
