POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The Student Success Coordinator supports the school principal in all aspects of the building administration which includes but is not limited to instruction curriculum school improvement staff development student discipline parentteacher conferences recordkeeping student activities public relations and facility maintenance.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Assist in the daytoday management of the school in such a way that fosters a safe secure and healthy environment for students staff and visitors.
Take a lead role in school expectations and student behavior including facilitating the Climate Team responding to referrals SEL behavior support and PBIS programming.
Assist in leadership of the building staff in such a way that addresses district and building mission vision and goals and assures attention to the attainment of student performance standards.
Assist Principal in leadership of the schools Guaranteed and Viable Curriculum (GVC) including regularly attending PLC meetings.
Participate on the schools core MTSS team and provide leadership with the MTSS system including progress monitoring of data and student problem solving.
Assist in the administration of various schoolwide assessments such as WyTOPP ACCESS DIBELS district common assessments etc.
Assist with the development of school schedules such as the master schedule supervision schedules alternative schedules for school activities etc.
As directed by the Principal attend student staff and parent meetings and assure compliance with governing statutes and regulations.
Assist in the supervision and evaluation of noncertified personnel who work within the school including paraprofessionals and office staff.
Supervise student activities and programs within the school both during and after school hours.
As directed by the Principal participate in administrative meetings attend school board meetings when appropriate and assume district wide assignments in a manner that serves the best interest of Teton County School District No. 1.
As directed by the Principal manage the use of the school by community and other nonschool groups according to District policies and guidelines.
Consistently and faithfully apply the policies and guidelines of the District in the administration of the school.
Many of the precise duties assigned will be determined between the Teacher of Special Assignment and the Principal once hired. There is flexibility depending on skills experience and preferences.

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Certified in elementary or secondary education. Minimum three years teaching experience.
Must have a relevant teaching license issued by the Wyoming Professional Teaching Standards Board .
Must have completed or currently enrolled in an educational administration preparatory program that leads to K12 administration issued by the Wyoming Professional Teaching Standards Board OR have participated in leadership development coursework and plan to complete an administration preparatory program.
Strong track record as an educator who demonstrates a commitment to lifelong learning.
This position will be a TOSA (Teacher on Special Assignment).
The School District places employees on salary schedules on the basis of:
Wyoming experience.
Outofstate experience up to 7 years.
Degree Bachelors Masters or Doctorate.
Semester Graduate Credits beyond Degree.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision such as to read handwritten or typed materialthe ability to adjust focus and exposure to screen(s) via technology. Hearing ability to monitor activity and presence of students and respond to communication with students and adults is required. The position requires the individual to meet multiple demands from several people and interact with the public and other staff.

The noise level in the work environment is normally low to moderate but may become loud when large groups are together in a room. The employee may be exposed to unpredictable weather conditions. This position is typically performed in a hazard free clean and healthy environment.
