The Institute on Development and Disability within the Department of Pediatrics at OHSU works with patients families clinicians researchers and many other professionals to meet the goal of improving the lives of people with disabilities. We perform research and care to support every patient from premature babies to older adults facing changes in life due to the onset of disabling conditions. With more than 100 years of practice we understand how to best meet the needs of our patients and their families in Oregon and beyond.

Function/Duties of Position

The appointee shall provide services as assigned by the supervisor in furtherance of the universitys missions and goals of teaching research patient care outreach and public service.

Services provided include the following:

  1. Participation in single discipline and interdisciplinary teams for the evaluation and management of children and adolescents with neurodevelopmental disabilities including (but not limited to) cerebral palsy spina bifida congenital brain malformations and neurogenetic disorders in selected CDRC clinics.
  2. Participation in interdisciplinary training at the CDRC.
  3. Service on various Institute on Development and Disability (IDD)/CDRC and OHSU committees as appropriate and assigned.
  4. Engagement in public service through consultative activities with nonOHSU groups as approved by the Director; and conduct of clinical projects or research in selected areas of interest.
