Job Description Summary
Responsible for the coordination planning preparation presentation and evaluation of all learning activities in any given course. The instructor must remain current in the discipline area and continually explore teaching methods and strategies to engage learners organize and plan instructional content that accommodates diverse learning styles and devise appropriate assessment tools that monitor student learning outcomes. The instructor is also responsible for participating in related activities to include professional development curriculum design and other activities that contribute to the department division and College. The instructor performs all other duties as directed by the Department Chair Division Dean EVP /Provost or the President or designee.
Minimum Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Bachelors Degree in Physical Education Kinesiology Health Sciences or other related degrees required. Minimum of oneyear teaching experience at the college or high school level or significant professional experience relevant to the teaching area. Relevant credentials may be required as necessary (Certified Personal Trainer Certified Yoga instructor Group Fitness Instructor etc. Masters Degree in Physical Education Kinesiology Health Sciences and other related degrees preferred. AREA SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS Maintain required modules and navigation pages on the Colleges LMS (Announcement Syllabus Modules Discussion Board Assignments Grades). Maintain the LMS gradebook for student evaluation and retention including Navigate and reports to third party monitors (Promise Scholarship Athletics PGCPS . May have to travel to various College Extension centers to deliver class as assigned. Flexibility in scheduling to accommodate offcampus weekends evenings and accelerated classes.
