Data Segmentation Specialist

As the Data Segmentation Specialist at the University of Melbourne youll be at the forefront of leveraging data to enhance student communications and engagement. Youll have the opportunity to develop and implement sophisticated segmentation strategies work with cuttingedge CRM systems and drive continuous improvement in the Universitys communication efforts. Your role will directly impact how the University connects with its diverse student body making this a key position for those passionate about data analytics and strategic communications in higher education.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Develop Segmentation Strategies: Establish and implement data segmentation approaches to support targeted campaign development and meet university business objectives.
  • Provide Data Expertise: Act as a central reference for data requirements in across numerous systems supporting CRM specialists in campaign and analysis.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement: Identify inefficiencies and inconsistencies across data systems and recommend optimal practices for data usage and system functionality.
  • Build Data Literacy: Support staff in understanding and managing data creating documentation and conducting training sessions.

You may be a great fit if:

You are a datasavvy professional with strong analytical skills experience in CRM systems and a passion for leveraging data to enhance communication strategies in a complex organisational environment.

You may also:

  • Have tertiary qualifications or progress towards postgraduate qualifications in data systems computer science or business analysis.
  • Demonstrate experience working with complex data across multiple systems.
  • Show ability to work collaboratively in an agile environment using creative thinking to challenge the status quo.
  • Possess solid knowledge of business analysis reporting platforms and CRM systems.
  • Exhibit expertise in producing concise and applicable management reporting.
  • Effective written communication skills to translate complex data structures and technically specific content to a broad audience.
