GENERAL SUMMARY: Welcome and register patients for their appointments while collecting accurate patient demographics and insurance information. Ensures that patients are registered for their appointments in a timely manner. Performs all front desk/receptionist duties to ensure patient satisfaction as needed. - High School Diploma.

WORKING CONDITIONS: - Lifting up to 20 lbs occasionally.
- Carry up to 20 lbs occasionally.
- Sitting 12 hours at a time.
- Withstanding pressure and deal with emergency situations as needed.
- Average working hours with possible nontraditional hours.
- Potential for exposure to blood and body fluids.
- Ability to deal with upset or disgruntle patients in order to deescalate the situation.
SPECIFIC DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES: - Maintains strict patient confidentiality at all times.
- Registers patients efficiently accurately and timely.
- Pull patient charts as needed.
- Receives and responds to all questions from the staff.
- Assists patients with completion of medical information forms.
- Obtains signatures for consent according to policy.
- Collects payments.
- Balance cash drawer daily.
- Accurately run credit card charges when needed.
- Verify insurance information.
- Completes return to work/school slips in coordination with nurse.
- Performs data entry.
- Assists patients with Rx pick up.
- Assists in maintaining office equipment.
- Assists other team members as needed.
- Demonstrates effective communication skills
- Maintains knowledge of clerical duties medical policies and procedures.
- Receives and directs visitors and patients.
- Attends at least 80 of staff meetings.
- Covers all clerical areas if needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
