NCR Atleos is seeking a skilled and experienced Infrastructure Ops Engineer II customizing in Storage and backup technologies who will be responsible for provisioning supporting patching and upgrades. The role will require the candidate to respond to system events storage and backup provisioning requests and working with our hardware vendors to resolve any hardware or software issues. research vulnerabilities create necessary change management tickets and ensure patching is successful. The successful candidate will require knowledge with both block and file storage technologies with backup solutions knowledge a plus.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor system alerts and events via email and systems management portals.
- Create support tickets with hardware vendors for systems hardware & software issues.
- Utilize ServiceNow to create Change Request tickets for maintenances working on Incident tickets and fulfilling Request tickets as they are received.
- Facilitate systems patching and upgrades to comply with business standards of maintaining systems and removing newly discovered bugs and security risks.
- Partner with the desktop support team to provide assistance in regard to their vCenter Datastore needs with regards to provisioning expansion or troubleshooting.
Experiences
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT infrastructure with an understanding of operating systems Storage Array systems both block and file technologies.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience patching and resolving vulnerabilities
- Experience with Dell EMC Unity Isilon and Data Domain with Pure Storage and Rubrik backup solutions a plus
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong communication skills
