About the role
The Senior Learning Skills Advisor STEM is responsible for coordinating and delivering the provision of learning support services. The position is responsible for developing delivering and maintaining appropriate programs to support student learning skills development and provide expertise to influence the policies and procedures relevant to the Learning and Academic Skills Success (LASS) team Retention Innovation and Success (RISE) Institutes and the University.
You will:
provide individual and group academic learning advice to students to support their transition to independent learning;
contribute to the development of students academic literacy and STEM foundational knowledge;
work collaboratively to assist with curriculum development; and
contribute to the planning and delivery of orientation and transition activities
About you
Reporting to the Manager Learning and Academic Skills Success you will possess demonstrated knowledge or learning and teaching processes particularly in the field of academic learning skills advising.
You will possess demonstrated:
knowledge of learning and teaching processes;
ability to assess and respond to the learning needs of a diverse range of students;
demonstrated ability to develop and deliver professional learning skills programs; and
interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to support a diverse range of stakeholders.
