What You Will Do:
- Assist the Survey Crew Chief with all day to day operations of a twoperson or threeperson survey crew for boundary topographic and construction surveys for a wide variety of public and private projects.
- Specific duties include the following:
- assists Survey Crew Chief in attaining thorough and accurate data collection;
- set stakes for construction surveys;
- operate GPS and robotic Total Station;
- check calculations on cut sheets;
- run and reduce notes for level loops;
- setup calibrate use and maintain survey field equipment and
- keep the survey vehicle clean and organized.
- Travel including overnight stays is sometimes required.
What You Will Bring:
- Highschool Diploma or GED Pursuing a 2 or 4 year degree
- good communication skills
- reliable and able to follow multiple step directions
- ability to work in a variety of weather conditions and terrains;
- a valid drivers license and clean driving record.
- Preferred: ability to operate Trimble GPS Total Stations and other survey equipment;
- Preferred: Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D or MicroStation/Geopak.
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
You must be comfortable working in all weather conditions. Due to the physical nature of the work you must be able to lift 50 lbs. 75 lbs. periodically. Youre required to work with your hands and stoop kneel crouch or crawl. At times you may be working at or on uneven terrain slopes in confined spaces or reinforced trenches.
