Job Description

BI Reporting Developer

Role Summary:

The BI Reporting Developer leverages strong critical thinking skills to gather requirements create data models and deliver analytical solutions for internal stakeholders. This role collaborates with data architects engineers QA analysts and business stakeholders to translate raw data into meaningful insights supporting TireHubs 400 users across multiple departments.

This role will report to the Business Intelligence Leader.

Role Specifics:

Collaborative Environment: Operates within a teambased Agile/Sprint development environment contributing to the planning and delivery of highquality reporting solutions that meet stakeholder needs.

Business Acumen and Analysis: Possesses strong expertise in one or more core business functions (sales finance or operations). Leverages BI tools to uncover trends and identify exceptions to enhance operational excellence across various business units.

Business Insights Development: Builds a deep understanding of specific business areas and the metrics critical to driving performance. Partners with stakeholders to translate data into meaningful insights that inform decisionmaking.

Data Management and Analysis: Performs and documents detailed data analysis validation and mapping/design processes. Develops iterative reporting solutions to guide business analysis and optimize outcomes.

Collaboration with Data Engineers: Partners closely with data engineers to review and refine data designs manage metadata and ensure data quality through standardized calculations report labels and balancing controls.

Data Security Management: Designs and maintains rowlevel security protocols for Power BI reports and datasets ensuring appropriate user access while safeguarding data integrity.

Continuous Learning and Innovation: Demonstrates a commitment to learning by researching recommending and applying new Power BI features and integrations advance the organizations analytical capabilities.

Compliance & Training:

Ensures individual personal adherence to TireHub policies procedures and guidelines.

Participates and maintains ongoing training requirements through inperson virtual or computerbased learning modules as assigned.

Completes other tasks assigned by their supervisor or another member of Leadership as requested.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science Data Science Mathematics or related field is preferred.
  • Masters degree in Data Science or Statistics is a plus.
  • 57 years experience developing SQL code procedures tables views and extracts.
  • 57 years experience in developing adhoc analytics and communicating results to stakeholders.
  • 57 years experience in Fabric/Power BI to include:
    • Designing and developing reports dashboards scorecards and reusable datasets on Fabric tenant.
    • Strong proficiency in DAX for building calculated measures to support business KPIs.
    • Knowledge of tabular data modeling and performance design.

Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

Proficient in utilizing Business Intelligence (BI) tools with firsthand experience in designing developing and delivering data visualizations and reporting solutions. Familiarity with popular BI platforms such as Power BI Tableau KNIME or similar tools including creating dashboards scorecards and reports that provide actionable insights for business decisionmaking.

Knowledge of Database/Operational Business Analysis (DB/OBA) and operational business analytics ensuring the design management and optimization of data models that support reporting and analytics. This includes proficiency in writing and optimizing complex SQL queries managing large datasets and translating business requirements into technical solutions.

Demonstrated experience in data analysis with the ability to extract cleanse and manipulate data from multiple sources to uncover trends patterns and actionable insights. Skilled in identifying key performance indicators (KPIs) analyzing business metrics and leveraging data to drive improvements and inform business strategies.

Expertise in working closely with business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into technical requirements for reporting and analysis. Skilled at identifying business problems formulating hypotheses gathering relevant data and presenting findings in a clear actionable format.

Strong analytical critical thinking skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data inconsistencies report errors or system performance. Proficient in identifying the root causes of issues utilizing debugging tools and techniques and providing timely resolutions to ensure the accuracy and functionality of data solutions.

Ability to translate learning into practical application showing the capacity to deconstruct complex problems identify innovative solutions and implement strategic approaches that drive meaningful outcomes.

Ability to maintain a high level of organization detailorientation and accuracy in handling responsibilities ensuring thoroughness in task and projects.

Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload adapting to changing priorities with ease.

Embraces intellectual curiosity and demonstrate a history of continuous selfimprovement.

Ability to manage time effectively to meet deadlines demonstrating a strong capacity for planning and in a fastpaced environment.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel Word PowerPoint and Outlook).

  • A valid Drivers license with at least 2 years of driving experience required 3 years preferred; Does not include time on learners permits).

Working Conditions:

  • This is a fastpaced and dynamic operating environment.
  • Majority of time is spent sitting constantly viewing monitors in a comfortable position with frequent opportunity to move around. There may be occasions to move or lift light articles.
  • Must be able to work flexible hoursto accommodateroutinely criticalsystem changes and emergency events.
  • This role is based in our headquarters office in Dunwoody GA and requires a strong inperson presence.
  • Must be able to travel up to 10.
