The Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Backend Engineer to join our Cloud Platform Team. In this role you will be responsible for designing and building intuitive and powerful backend experiences that support the tooling needs of the Postman engineering organization. You will work closely with frontend engineers designers and other stakeholders to create solutions that enhance the productivity and efficiency of our internal teams.

What Youll Do

Design and Development:

• Design and implement solutions that are easily maintainable and scalable.
• Create highquality responsive APIs using modern backend technologies.
• Ensure the technical feasibility of API designs and optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Work collaboratively with crossfunctional teams including frontend engineers designers and product managers to define and implement innovative solutions.
• Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and share knowledge with the team.

Tooling and Integration:

• Develop tools and components that support the workflows of other engineering teams.
• Integrate with backend services and APIs to deliver comprehensive backend solutions.

Maintenance and Improvement:

• Continuously improve the backend codebase by refactoring and optimizing as needed.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure our platform remains cuttingedge.

About You

Educational Background:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field or equivalent practical experience.

Experience:

• 6 years of experience in backend developmentpreferably in a SaaS or cloud platform environment.
• Proven experience Java Spring Microservices

Technical Skills:

• Strong proficiency in Java Spring Kubernetes
• Having experience with Helm and Argo is advantageous.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and asynchronous request handling.
• Familiarity with version control systems particularly Git.

Soft Skills:

• Excellent problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work in a fastpaced agile development environment.
