Required Education and/or Experience
Masters degree in Higher Education Student Success or related field;
At least one year prior experience teaching at the university level;
Professional experience interacting with college level students and/or in their academic field;
Attended an academic and/or student success conference.
Preferred Education and/or Experience
One year preferred experience teaching in an online environment utilizing Learning Management System (LMS).
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Create a welcoming online learning environment and classroom community that promotes high levels of engagement risktaking in pursuit of learning and personal and academic integrity;
Deliver approved PEAW curriculum to online students utilizing the UALR Blackboard LMS;
Adhere to the PEAW syllabus template and schedule; textbook curriculum; flipped classroom model; grading rubrics; and all other standardized course materials to ensure consistency across all PEAW sections;
Within 10 days of assignment submission provide substantive feedback and evaluate online student performance using the UALR Blackboard LMS gradebook;
Respond to PEAW & student communications within 24 hours with a reply back notifying receipt to sender;
Maintain an established schedule be punctual for all meetings clearly detail how students are to contact you and respond to students questions emails and voicemails within 48 business hours;
Host weekly office hours (one hour a week per 3hour PEAW course);
Attend recurring faculty meetings phone conferences and ad hoc gatherings to remain abreast of curriculum deadlines and important departmental information;
Participate and complete the PEAW 5Alert System to assist in the prevention of NoCredit Grades and to encourage student attendance.
