Role: Speech & Language Therapist
Banding: Band 5/6
Location: Newcastle
Job Type: FullTime Permanent
Salary:

The AHP team at Pulse is seeking an experienced Speech & Language Therapist to join our team in Newcastle. Join our busy and vibrant centre dedicated to providing exceptional care to individuals with complex speech language communication and dysphagia needs. We are committed to lifelong learning and delivering specialist services to support our service users and their families.

Your main responsibilities as a Speech and Language Therapist:

You will assess and provide therapy interventions for a caseload of service users or students with complex needs under the regular supervision of a clinical supervisor. You will work within an integrated transdisciplinary team to ensure therapy targets are embedded within the curriculum. You will collaborate closely with families carers and external agencies. You will provide training and advice to families carers and school/college staff. You will develop skills in working with all forms of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) and specific approaches such as phonological awareness literacy development and social communication.

What we are looking for in a Speech and Language Therapist:

  • Recognised Speech and Language Therapy qualification
  • HCPC registration
  • Open to candidates with any level of experience for either Band 5 or Band 6.
