Job Description
Position Overview:
The Product Manager manages and support Teknions product line(s) and ensures that product is brought to market in an effective and timely manner following the Teknion product processes. The Product Manager will evaluate the practicality of new product ideas and ensure that the implementation and product support process is aligned to launch schedules.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development of sales promotion distribution and pricing policies.
- Recommend changes improvements or deletions in assigned product or products.
- Work with Development Team to ensure smooth launch of products.
- Determine criteria used in screening new product/services ideas and prepare complete proposals for management action.
- Research technical opinions and estimates of time and costs of new product / services development and coordinate all activities relative to the development of potential products.
- Consult with sales (Canada USA Europe and International) service finance and manufacturing or support units for most effective and profitable marketing of new products and /or services.
- Work with markets in the development of recommendations relative to marketing objectives and strategies including sales volume and profit forecasts for assigned product or products.
- Interface with the Product Training Department for internal and external training preparation for the launch of new products.
- Provide assistance where necessary in order to achieve Corporate Goals
Qualifications and Requirements:
- 3 to 5 years experience in a product management role
- Understanding of a product launch cycle
- Exposure to concurrent product development process
- Excellent communication presentation and analytical skills
- Industry experience preferred
