As a Project Engineer II on our New Product Development (NPD) team youll serve as the vital connection between Product Marketing and Factory Manufacturing. Youll lead projects that transform customer needs into tangible products working with crossfunctional teams to ensure designs meet performance quality and timeline expectations. This role offers visibility growth and the chance to make a real impact.


What Youll Do:


Lead and Coordinate Teams:

  • Oversee project teams including R&D industrial design factory engineering electrical/software engineering quality and marketing.
  • Translate customer requirements into actionable engineering specifications and development plans.
  • Communicate effectively between North American marketing teams and Asiabased engineering manufacturing and quality teams.

Drive New Product Development:

  • Lead projects through the Key Technology/Key Component (KT/KC) and NPD processes ensuring all milestones are met.
  • Conduct crossfunctional meetings to align on project scope deliverables and goals.
  • Host technical design reviews and support detailed CAD work alongside factory engineers.
  • Emphasize continuous improvement value engineering and manufacturability in product design.
  • Validate designs through DFMEA strength and fatigue analysis followed by thorough testing.

Support Production Launches:

  • Review quality and inspection data evaluate product samples and recommend design adjustments.
  • Support the transition of new products into mass production identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
  • Collaborate with global engineering and manufacturing teams to resolve design and production challenges.
Requirements


Education:

  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

Experience:

  • 2 years of design experience preferably with consumer products.
  • Project Engineering or Project Management experience is a strong plus.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes like plastics sheet metal casting machining and welding.

Skills & Traits:

  • Proficiency in 3D CAD (SolidWorks preferred); familiarity with analysis tools is a plus.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude demonstrated through work experience or personal projects.
  • Excellent critical thinking problemsolving and decisionmaking skills.
  • Effective communicator who thrives in diverse crosscultural environments.
  • Willingness to travel internationally 24 times per year.
