Salary:for Newly Qualified Social Workers 34350 to 37950 for Level 2 Social Workers 38700 to 41373 plus 3300 market premia payment for Level 3 Social Workers
Working Hours:Monday to Friday 37 hours per week

About the Role
The purpose of the Safeguarding Adult Team is to ensure that there is a consistent and timely approach to applying safeguarding thresholds identifying and addressing immediate risk and establishing the outcomes of the person involved in line with Making Safeguarding Personal principles. The focus is on making safeguarding personal and therefore the service user remains at the centre of the enquiry.
You will provide short term intervention (usually 3 working days) during which time you will aim to make enquiries to enable you to:
Apply safeguarding thresholds
Identify and take steps to address any immediate risk
Meet or discuss with the person involved to establish what their outcomes are in relation to the safeguarding enquiry. Where there are any doubts about the persons capacity to consent to the enquiry and advise of their outcomes a mental capacity assessment and if necessary best interest decision in relation to this will be undertaken
Establish who is involved with the persons care and who needs to be involved in the enquiry
Hold a strategy meeting or discussion

- Newly Qualified Social Workers: 31074 to 33294
- Level 2 Social Worker:34350 to 37950
- Level 3 Social Worker:38700 to 41373 plus market supplement ofto 44673

About You
To apply for this post you must:
- Be a qualified Social Worker and registered with Social Work England.
- Have knowledge of social work methodologies social care policies such as personcentred approaches and asset based social work and relevantlegislation including The Care Act Mental Health Act and Mental Capacity Act.
- Have experience of effective assessment and risk management delivery and multiagency/multidisciplinary working and/or hospital discharge processes.
- Have experience of partnership working with adults to identify and meet need with creative and pragmatic solutions.
- Be a confident communicator who is skilled in diplomacy persuasion assertive and conflict management and able to build effective working relationships.
- Be able to work proactively individually but also as a team member.
- Have good prioritisation and time management skills and have a valid UK driving licence or access to a vehicle
We also expect you to shareour commitment to our valuesand will ask you to evidence when you have demonstrated them as part of the interview process.
A DBS enhanced check for a regulated activity is required for this post.
