Job Description

Customer Service Representative will be responsible for providing stellar service to meet the needs of our providers. Resolves issues and addresses needs fairly and effectively while demonstrating CHP values in their actions. Provides product and service information and identifies opportunities to improve our provider experiences. Assist physicians by responding to telephone and written inquiries in a prompt accurate and objective manner. Duties include: conducting research; spending 100 of the scheduled time on the phone according to business needs.
Education: High School Diploma/GED required
Experience: One to two years experience working in a managed healthcare environment. Knowledge of Medical Terminology ICD10 coding CPT coding and HCPC coding is preferred.
Licenses/Certifications: N/A
Other Job Requirements: Able to perform basic to intermediate level of competence with various computer software applications including MS Outlook Word Excel Teams and PowerPoint. Able to effectively communicate with internal staff line of business administration and external customers. Full command of the English language both verbal and written.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
  • Answer incoming phone calls from customers (i.e. providers facilities) in a call center setting and identify the type of assistance needed (i.e. eligibility billing and payments and claims information).
  • Assist with administrative duties.
  • Performs Special Projects as requested by the supervisor.
  • Focus on resolving issues on the first call navigating through complex computer systems to identify the status of the issue and provide the appropriate response to the caller
  • Deliver information and answer questions in a positive manner to facilitate strong relationships with providers
  • Ask appropriate questions and listen actively to identify specific questions or issues while documenting required information in computer systems
  • Research complex issues across multiple databases and work with support resources to resolve customer issues and/or partner with others to resolve escalated issues
  • Meet the performance goals established for the position in the areas of efficiency quality customer satisfaction and attendance.

Salary Range: $40000.00 to $52000.00 Annually dependent on experience
