General Information:
James Madison Universitys Facilities Management Department is accepting applications for a Housekeeping Equipment Repair Technician. The shift is Monday thru Friday 6:30 a.m. 3:00 p.m. with an altered schedule during the summer plus overtime or weekend hours when necessary.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot and complete repairs to housekeeping equipment.
Perform preventive maintenance to housekeeping equipment.
Repair replace or install bathroom dispensers according to product and JMU specifications and ADA requirements.
Assist with oversight of repairs to housekeeping equipment completed by vendors.
Inspect assemble deliver and train staff on new housekeeping equipment.
Assists with maintaining electronic inventory of equipment and parts.
The employee in this position will be considered designated meaning the work performed is essential to university operations and the employee will be required to work during periods of authorized closings.
Qualifications:
Required
Knowledge of the function operation repair and maintenance of various types of cleaning equipment; such as vacuum cleaners buffers scrubbers batteryoperated floor scrubbers riding scrubbers and battery sweepers.
Knowledge of parts used for the repair of housekeeping equipment.
General knowledge of housekeeping chemicals and safety associated with them.
Ability to be flexible to changing work environments and schedules.
Ability to work well with others and independently
Basic computer skills using Word Excel and Outlook.
Ability to work independently with little to no supervision.
Ability to use a Multimeter.
Applicants must be at least 19 years old possess a valid drivers license for a minimum of 24 consecutive months and an acceptable motor vehicle report.
