This is a contingent position based upon contract award
KBR is seeking an experienced detailoriented Technical Writer to join our team in the Northern Virginia area. The Technical Writer should have experience creating and maintaining technical documentation for equipment systems and procedures especially federal standards manuals and publications.
Responsibilities:
Research develop and/or update content for printed standards manuals or documents using software such as Microsoft Office Suite Adobe Acrobat Pro and/or Oxygen XML Editor
Prepare written documents following federal standard guidelines; coordinate layout and organization of documentation
Experience coordinating graphics development to prepare technical publication graphics and illustrations
Ensure technical documentation is accurate complete meets government specifications and adheres to standards for quality graphics coverage format and style
Maintains appropriate records and prepares reports
Coordinates technical writing activities with internal and external customers
Minimum Qualifications:
At least two 2 years of experience specific to technical writing
Bachelors Degree
Desired Qualifications:
Experience with intelligence analysis and intelligence products
Experience with preparation of technical documentation for IC systems and capabilities
Knowledge of Adobe Acrobat Pro
Experience with Oxygen XML
Clearance: TS/SCI w poly required
