The Impact You Will Have:
The QTS Leadership Development Program QLDP) is designed to prepare high potential candidates to take on roles at QTS leading teams functions and/or P&Ls. The generalist track of the QLDP is a 9 to 18month program during which participating Project Managers (PMs) will go through 45 rotations: 1. Site Operations 2. Property Development 3. Technology Operations 4. Corporate Shared Services and 5. Sales. The PMs responsibility in each rotation is to develop a solid understanding of the functional area lead projects and provide general support to the team they are embedded in. Throughout QLDP QTS leadership will work with the participant to identify a postprogram role in the company that balances their interests skill set and QTS needs.
What You Will Do:
Lead process improvement projects and provide general support in critical areas directly impacting Site Operations Property Development Technology Operations Sales and Corporate Shared Services.
Develop solid understanding of the data center industry QTS product offering and QTS operating model.
Balance assigned/directed tasks with selfidentified project opportunities.
Form and manage crossfunctional project teams to achieve objectives.
Analyze the operational and financial impacts of proposed solutions to make impactful recommendations.
Regularly present findings to various levels of QTS leadership.
What You Will Need to be Successful:
Bachelors degree in a STEM field Finance or Economics.
Four or more years of professional experience.
Superior people skills must be able to work effectively with multiple business groups and levels seniority.
US Citizenship for this position is required by law due to federal customer contracts
Nice to Have:
Advanced degree (technical Masters degree or MBA).
Seven or more years of professional experience.
Two or more years in a supervisory role.
Experience in technology construction engineering or energy sectors.
Solid proficiency in MS Office applications especially Excel and PowerPoint.
Process Improvement Certifications (Lean Six Sigma etc..
Management consulting experience.
Geographic flexibility within two years.
Additional Skills:
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Strong initiative and creativity.
An enthusiastic attitude in a team environment and ability to work independently.
Comfort teaming with all levels of an organization including presenting to senior executives.
