The nurse in this position will provide comprehensive care to pediatric hematology/oncology patients in an ambulatory setting including administration of chemotherapy blood products and supportive care. The nurse will need to be or become certified to administer chemotherapy through the Association of Pediatric Hematology Oncology Nurses (APHON) curriculum. The RN also will provide infusion therapy for specialty service patients such as gastroenterology and nephrology. In addition the nurse will be assigned to coordinate care for two to three Hematology Oncology providers patient populations.

Department Specific:
Previous Experience in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology including administration of chemotherapy and blood products.
Minimum two years of pediatric nursing experience with acutely ill patients.
Certification in Basic Life Support & Pediatric Advanced Life Support; APHON Pediatric Chemotherapy and Biotherapy
