Haw Creek Animal Hospital is hiring a fulltime Registered Veterinary Technician or Experienced Veterinary Assistant to work alongside our team of experienced veterinarians skilled technicians and devoted support staff to ensure each animal receives the best possible care during their stay with us. Haw Creek Animal Hospital offers care for urgent and emergency cases alongside routine appointments. We are looking for a motivated selfstarter who is clientfocused and thrives in both team environments and working independently.

Salary: $15.00 $22.00 per hour determined by the candidates skills experience and qualifications.
Schedule: This position requires flexibility with some evenings and Saturdays. The typical day shift runs from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM with occasional variations. Evening shifts are generally from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM with some changes based on scheduling needs. Saturday shifts are from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist veterinarians and vet techs during examinations treatments and surgeries
- Handle and restrain animals safely and compassionately
- Prepare examination rooms and surgical areas by cleaning and sterilizing equipment and surfaces
- Perform basic laboratory tests such as collecting blood urine and stool samples
- Administer medications and vaccinations under the supervision of a veterinarian
- Feed bathe and exercise animals as needed
- Maintain accurate medical records
- Communicate with pet owners about their pets care treatment plans and followup visits
- Clean and maintain the clinic including stocking supplies and ensuring a safe and sanitary environment

Qualifications:
- Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) certification is preferred its not requiredwere happy to train the right candidate!
- Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately.
- Knowledgeable about common disease states and able to alert veterinarians to changes in patient conditions.
- Familiarity with DEA OSHA and hospital safety guidelines.
