Job Description
Position Title: Temporary Buildings & Grounds Attendant
Department: Dining ServicesCentral Office
Term of Assignment:Term
Term End Date If Applicable:
FLSA Status: NonExempt overtime eligible
Work Schedule: Parttime temporary position used temporarily fill a vacancy and to supplement and augment the regular NMU workforce; variable shifts/days/locations primary shift is Monday through Friday 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm
Salary: $17.42
Travel: No travel
Brief Statement of Duties
Brief Statement of Duties:Under routine supervision engage in a variety of housekeeping custodial and maintenance projects in University buildings and on adjacent grounds.
Minimum Qualifications
Required Education: High School Graduation or Equivalent
Discipline/Degree Area:
Required Specialized Training/Certifications:
Required Minimum Work Experience: Combination of two years of experience in custodial and/or building and grounds maintenance work in hotels/motels apartments or relevant business or institutional settings.
Knowledge Skills Abilities or Attributes Required for Satisfactory Performance of the Position Duties:
Physical capability to perform all the duties and responsibilities of the position.
Ability to pass relevant oral written and/or performance testing.
Ability to maintain currency of technology and tools.
Conscientious and selfmotivated.

Additional Desirable Qualifications
Additional Desirable Qualifications:
Completion of relevant training.
Experience in the building trades grounds maintenance and/or landscaping.
Demonstrated effective supervisory experience.
Demonstrated effective experience dealing with the public.
