Slot Maintenance

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Installs updates modifies and repairs slot and other coin operated machines.
2. Receives training technical direction and guidance from the Slot Operations Director.
3. Performs responsibilities in compliance with the Colorado Limited Gaming Act Internal Control Minimum Procedures internal policies and procedures Colorado Limited Gaming Regulations and other applicable municipal state and federal laws or regulations.
4. Safeguards slot machines. Maintains slot repair parts cart and inventories. Updates Inventory Replacement Log and maintains secure key controls ensuring machines are in a secure and locked state.
5. Troubleshoots equipment and records appropriate information on the Slot Machine Access Log.
6. Adjusts and aligns slot machines to meet or exceed factory specifications.
7. Moves slot machines as required or requested.
8. Maintains alertness for the performance of all responsibilities and a general awareness of casino operations at all times. Takes appropriate action based on observations as directed or established by casino policy procedures or gaming rules and regulations. Informs supervisor of any concerns. Verifies customers are 21 years of age.
9. Performs machine conversions as required or requested.
10. Develops and maintains effective working relationships and good customer service skills with all guests and employees.
11. Wears and maintains all uniforms properly including nametag and gaming license.
12. Within the realm of the job maintains a clean and safe work environment. Performs duties in compliance with safety procedures which includes use of safety equipment. Incumbents are responsible for following safety procedures identifying unsafe practices or conditions and informing their supervisor or the Safety Committee of unsafe conditions as directed.
13. Attendance: reports to work as scheduled on time and ready to work.
14. Repairs problems on the spot or removes and replaces suspected bad components for later repair in the shop.
15. Performs other duties including special projects as needed and directed.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Demonstrated experience performing bench level electronic work. Demonstrated working knowledge of slot machine games and operation. Demonstrated experience performing within specific deadlines or under pressure. Demonstrated experience problem solving organizing and prioritizing work.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Graduation from High School or equivalent with course work in electronics. One 1 or more years of recent and related experience installing servicing adjusting and repairing slot and other coin operated machines preferably within a gaming environment.

CERTIFICATES LICENSES REGISTRATIONS:Must have a valid and current State of Colorado Gaming License. Must be at least eighteen 18 years of age.

OTHER SKILLS/ABILITIES: Demonstrated effective and diplomatic customer service and communication skills which includes contacts with employees and guests. Strong attention to detail and technical aptitude required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Essential duties involve performing physical exertion including frequent brisk walking climbing stairs bending stretching reaching pushing kneeling squatting crouching and standing for an entire work shift with standard breaks. Essential duties require lifting slot machines and other gaming equipment weighing 150 to 200 or more pounds. Essential duties involve working a flexible workweek with additional hours on a routine basis including working any day of the week any shift of the day.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Essential duties involve working near large numbers of people while primarily in an inside environment which may contain high noise levels

MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENT DIRECTLY USED: Various tools and equipment including but not limited to: electrical computers printers photocopiers staplers and tape.

COMPENSATION AND BENEIFTS

$18.00 an hour based to experience.
