Position Overview

Carries out admission documentation procedures for patients/residents courteously accurately and in accordance with established Health Centre policies and procedures.

Experience

  • One 1 year previous experience in registration is required or the successful completion of a recognized Health Access Admission course.

Exprience

  • Une 1 anne dexprience pralable en inscription est exige ou avoir termin avec succs un cours dadmission reconnu pour ladmission aux services de sant.

Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)

  • Grade 12 with keyboarding speed of 55 wpm.

Certification/Licensure/Registration

  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) training requirements for this position shall be in accordance with the Employer policy.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Must be able to speak French at the predetermined linguistic level.
  • Accurate effective communication in English.
  • Medical terminology and previous experience operating a computer terminal is required.
  • Works within the Centres core values philosophy vision C.Q.I. goals policies and procedures.
  • Good interpersonal communication skills.
  • Must be capable of functioning under stressful conditions.
  • Assumes responsibility for ongoing education and participates in professional activities for personal and professional growth.

  • La terminologie mdicale et une exprience antrieure de lutilisation dun terminal informatique sont ncessaires.

  • Bonnes aptitudes la communication interpersonnelle.

This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search) Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred. A security check is considered current if it was obtained no more than six 6 months prior to the start of employment.
