You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailWe are seeking a CT Technologist for our outpatient imaging center in Coon Rapids MN. This position offers evening hours from 5:309:30pm with no weekends or holidays required.
JOB TITLE: Imaging Technologist CT
LOCATION OR DEPARTMENT: Clinic
EXEMPT STATUS/GRADE: NonExempt/Step Scale
REPORTS TO: Clinic Manager or Lead Technologist
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: None.

SUMMARY OF POSITION: Perform CT exams and procedures according to established protocols to provide quality images and patient care.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Perform CT exams and assist physician in invasive procedures in a timely manner.
Demonstrate efficiency and effectiveness within the department time standards for routine exams.
Obtain patient history answer questions and provide the patient with information about the exam and/or procedure so they are comfortable and thoroughly understand it.
Work with the radiologists referring clinics and/or patients to ensure the appropriate exams films and medical records are correct and prepared for the exam.
Ensure all necessary paperwork is accurate and complete for the radiologist referring clinic and the patients medical records.
Incorporate company values into daily interactions with internal and external customers.
Other duties may include but are not limited to training new employees stocking and/or ordering department supplies and assisting in other departments.
QUALIFICATIONS:
RT (R) (CT) required within one year of employment
36 months general xray experience preferred.
612 months CT experience preferred.
IV and power contrast injector experience preferred.
CPR certification required.
Knowledge of basic radiologic principles procedures methods and techniques required.
Knowledge of anatomy and physiology required.
Excellent patient care problem solving organizational communication and technical skills required.
Ability to work independently in a team and with all levels of the organization required.
Ability to prioritize tasks and take initiative required.
Demonstrate knowledge of safetyrelated work behaviors to ensure a safe work environment.
Competent in using a computer keyboard email Imagecast and PACS or similar applications.
DAILY PHYSICAL DEMANDS REQUIRED FOR PERFORMING ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
OF THE JOB:
Requires a moderate amount of sitting standing walking reaching gripping twisting turning and repetitive motion; some bending kneeling squatting stooping and stretching. Requires eyehand coordination and manual dexterity to operate a keyboard telephone and other office equipment. Ability to assist patients to walk sit stand and move to and from the exam table wheelchair and/or Hoyer lift.
ENVIRONMENTAL/WORKING CONDITIONS:
HighPotential exposure to communicable diseases blood products bodily fluids and/or hazardous materials common to a radiology setting.
HighPotential exposure to ionizing radiation exams rooms and/or involved in the use of ionizing radiation common to a radiology setting.
