Supplemental Information
Under the direction of the Radiologist and Radiology Manager the Radiologic Technologist 1 2 or 3 position performs routine and specific imaging procedures. This positions performs a variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgement with ingenuity and initiative while applying prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis.
**Shift will be determined by the supervisor.
Additional Pay:
Shift 2 $2/hour
Shift 3 $2.50/hour
Weekends $2.50/hour
Holidays $2.50/hour
Oncall Pay $3/hour
Applicants who possess an Advanced CT and MRI Certification or extensive experience in both modalities are strongly encouraged to apply.

- MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Possession of a current Louisiana Radiologic Technologist license or temporary permit. Job Concepts
Function of Work:
To perform diagnostic radiological imaging services.
Level of Work:
Entry.
Supervision Received:
Close from Radiologic Technologist Supervisor or higherlevel personnel.
Supervision Exercised:
None.
Location of Work:
Statewide in a hospital education health care or correctional facility.
Job Distinctions:
Differs from Radiologic Technologist 2 by the absence of experiencedlevel duties.Examples of Work
Performs daily equipment checks to ensure that all radiographic equipment is safe and ready to use.
Produces diagnostic radiographs and/or fluoroscopic images by selecting proper technical factors on an individual patient basis.
Differentiates between film CR and DR imaging formats and adjusts techniques accordingly.
Reviews images to ensure the image quality and patient positioning are within established standards.
Performs general image handling duties including processing of digital images and merging images.
Maintains stock and supplies in designated area.
Assists the physician as required.
