We are looking for a Truck Drivera skilled individual responsible for the timely pickup and delivery of materials between Southmedic facilities and vendors/customers
What You Will Do
- Ensures that material requests are picked & delivered in a timely manner as directed by the Dispatch Coordinator
- Make scheduled deliveries of trailers within delivery time frames.
- Complete pretrip inspection of truck and safely operate equipment.
- Drive safely and in accordance with MTO and company regulations as well as road conditions
- Ensure cargo is secured properly in accordance with safety requirements and follow safety procedures for transporting dangerous goods
- Routes may include and are not limited to GTA Southern Ontario (Prescott) and USA (WIOH MI IL)
What We Need
- Must possess and maintain a valid G license.
- Must be bondable
- The incumbent must possess a good knowledge of driving and trucking practices; have good record keeping practices and have a firm grasp of mathematics.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to work multiple tasks simultaneously are crucial to the position.
Problem solving skills are essential to ensure that work orders are managed in a cost effective and efficient manner.
- The incumbent should possess a secondary school education
- Have excellent organizational skills
