35190 per annum company van and fuel card
With 30 years of delivering marketleading repairs refurbishment fire safety and building maintenance services Mears is trusted to deliver in excess of 6000 housing repairs daily to a portfolio of more thanhomes nationwide.
About the role:
We are seeking experienced Multi Skilled Operatives to join our void team. Having successfully retained our contract for another potentially 12 years we are building a strong inhouse team to fulfill our commitment to selfdelivery for our client Medway Council. Working primarily in empty properties candidates must possess a good allround knowledge of domestic building maintenance including at least three of the following skills: plumbing carpentry wall and floor tiling vinyl and Polysafe flooring painting and decorating plastering UPVC windows and new kitchen and bathroom installations.
All work is based in Gillingham so no long journeys are required. We provide a company van fuel card uniform PDA and full PPE.
Day to day Duties:
- Carrying out reactive repairs in unoccupied properties
- Responsible for duties to include but not limited to hanging doors skirting architraves fixing windows / doors lock changes repairing worktops kitchen units fitting new bathrooms general plumbing repairs painting and decorating Plastering etc
- Providing high levels of customer care at all times
Role Criteria:
- NVQ or extensive on the job experience in Carpentry plumbing and/or tiling Vinyl&polysafe flooring.
- job experience in general building and maintenance works
- UK Full Driving licence
- Provide own hand and power tools
All our roles require candidates to have the entitlement to work within the UK Mears does not currently offer visa sponsorship.
To drive a Mears vehicle you must be aged over 21 have held your licence over 3 months and have less than 9 points.
Candidates should be aware that all our roles are subject to relevant DBS/Security checks before commencement of employment.
