Are you ready to take the next step in your career The Department of Human Services Torrance State Hospital is currently seeking Sexual Responsibility and Treatment Program (SRTP) Aides. If you have experience working with troubled youths or individuals who have committed sex offenses we would love for you to join our SRTP team. Our program supports youths who have been adjudicated for certain sex offenses and are about to reach their 21st birthday but still require continued treatment. If you are a highenergy compassionate and detailoriented person we encourage you to apply and become part of a dedicated team focused on breaking the cycle of sexual violence and abuse.
In this position you will provide guidance and support to residents both individually and in groups assisting with therapeutic activities and daily living tasks. This includes helping residents develop selfcare skills and perform activities such as bathing oral hygiene shaving hair care nail care dressing and other personal care needs all in line with individual and facility care plans. Your responsibilities will also include educating residents on expected behaviors and monitoring signs of distress or agitation. Additionally you will track resident attendance and document their progress toward treatment goals. You will also make decisions regarding programming and resident care based on your training knowledge and in collaboration with other professional staff and supervisors.
