As a Senior Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within Electronic Trading Services you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance build and deliver trusted marketleading technology products in a secure stable and scalable way. Drive significant business impact through your capabilities and contributions and apply deep technical expertise and problemsolving methodologies to tackle a diverse array of challenges that span multiple technologies and applications.
Job responsibilities
- Regularly provides technical guidance and direction to support the business and its technical teams contractors and vendors.
- Develops secure and highquality production code and reviews and debugs code written by others.
- Drives decisions that influence the product design application functionality and technical operations and processes
- Serves as a functionwide subject matter expert in one or more areas of focus.
- Actively contributes to the engineering community as an advocate of firmwide frameworks tools and practices of the Software Development Life Cycle
- Influences peers and project decisionmakers to consider the use and application of leadingedge technologies.
- Adds to the team culture of diversity equity inclusion and respect.
Required qualifications capabilities and skills.
- Formal training or certification on Computer Science concepts and proficient advanced experience
- Handson practical experience delivering system design application development testing and operational stability.
- Proficiency in Python Java JavaScript BASH.
- Experience with React or Angular Grafana/InfluxDB Splunk.
- Practical public cloud experience
- Strong understanding of software development principles and methodologies.
- Excellent problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred qualifications capabilities and skills
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools.
- Knowledge of database management systems (e.g. SQL NoSQL).
- Experience with version control systems (e.g. Git).
- Experience working on network automation and metrics.
- Experience with writing modules for Netbox.
- Experience in Golang or Rust
