Job Description
Producer/Writer
KTLA is looking for an experienced producer/writer for its top rated KTLA Weekend Evening News.
Responsibilities:
To produce newscasts write and edit VOs and VOSOTs for broadcast
Oversee and organize production elements of newscasts
Order graphics
Work closely with Executive Producers Producers Reporters and the Assignment Desk to generate content
Desktop editing skills required
Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree preferred
Three years of TV producing and newswriting experience preferred
Candidates must demonstrate a passion for news. This includes keeping up on current events; updating stories with new information; and following social media daily.
Willingness to work weekends
Knowledge of Adobe Premiere and ENPS a plus
Strong organizational and communication skills needed
Positive attitude; ability to work under pressure and creativity a must
Compensation $32/hr commensurate with skills and experience
