Position Overview:
Bishop Blanchet High School is seeking a Head Girls Cross Country Coach for theFall Season. Applicants with previous coaching experience at the HS level 21 years or older possessing a valid Washington State drivers license and current First Aid/CPR/AED certification are preferred. This position reports to the Athletic Director.
Girls Cross Country is a Fall Sport.The season runs fromAugust 25 2025 through November 8 2025.
Responsibilities:Compliance with all Bishop Blanchet HS Metro League and WIAA policies and procedures.
Supervision of studentathletes during all team activities including practices and meets. Coaches need to be available between the hours of 3pm7pm during the season as well as weekends for invitationals.
Design and implement proper training programs during the summer and fall to meet the needs of each studentathlete.
Effective communication with players coaching colleagues and parents.
Promotion of sportsmanship camaraderie and fair play among team members.
Motivate and encourage players individual progress with an emphasis on promoting teamwork and strategic development.
Manage coaching staff.
Manage the yearly cross country budget.
Determine yearly schedule of invitationals with approval from AD.
Summer camp participation is recommended with the job.
