Summer Meals Program Administrator Temporary

Department: Programs and Services

Reports to: Childrens Programs Coordinator

Overview

The Summer Meals Program Administrator Summer Meals reports to the Programs and Services department. This position works closely with the Childrens Programs Coordinator at FBSJ on implementation daily operation and management throughout the entirety of the program including data entry and other administrative needs of the program for its duration. This position is also a main point of contact for the participating Summer Meals Program Sites for questions troubleshooting and daytoday activities.

This is a fulltime inperson temporary position beginning May 5 and continuing through September 5 2025. The pay rate is $22.50/hr. Workdays are Monday Friday approximate hours 8AM 4PM. Unpaid timeoff requests evaluated on a casebycase basis.

Specific Responsibilities

Site Management & Communications:

  • Prepare materials and manage communications for and with program sites
  • Monitor and follow up receipt of delivery slips and reporting
  • Help onboarding sites
  • Assist in summer meal site monitoring to ensure compliance with food safety and meal reporting as needed
  • Follow up on any corrective actions needed
  • Act as daytoday point of contact for participating sites

Record/File Management:

  • Create site packets with complete relevant documentation
  • Create sites file folders to be kept at FBSJ (you are the custodian of all site folders)
  • Daily fresh meal data entry into spreadsheet
  • Weekly entry of fresh meal orders in P2
  • Assist in shelf stable order entry when needed

Program Support:

  • Assist Childrens program coordinator as needed
  • Assist in training summer meal associates as needed
  • Assist other temporary positions as needed

Leadership Capabilities

  • Ability to assess and solve situational challenges of community need in neighborhoods of color foreign descent poverty and multilingual communication

Requirements:

  • Valid unrestricted drivers license (nonprobational) and 2 years of driving experience
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Suite (especially Teams and Excel)
  • Experience working in food insecurity or related nonprofit environment
  • Exemplary customer service skills
  • Strong timemanagement skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong time management skills
  • Spanish language skills a plus
