Job Description
Ammonia Refrigeration Service Technician
Were looking for an EXPERIENCED AMMONIA technician with at least 5 years fulltime experience and CARO or CIRO certification would be a plus. No other candidates will be considered at this time.
Ammonia Technician Responsibilities:
- Provide maintenance and repairs on industrial refrigeration/ammonia systems while providing superior customer service
- Perform routine and emergency industrial refrigeration repair and maintenance services on Ammonia refrigeration equipment. This includes compressors and electrical troubleshooting of industrial refrigeration systems and control/alarm systems
- Demonstrate an understanding and adherence to all work safety policies procedures and governing requirements
Skills and Knowledge:
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair ammonia industrial refrigeration mechanical and electrical systems
- Knowledge of ammonia refrigeration electrical and micro compressor control systems
- Working knowledge of screw compressors electrical troubleshooting of common types of ammonia refrigeration systems and control alarm systems
- Exceptional safety knowledge of tools testing devices and surroundings
- Ability to read and interpret ammonia refrigeration manuals documents and drawings
- Ability to work unsupervised or with limited instruction
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive ammonia refrigeration experience
- CARO or CIRO Certification a plus
- Valid drivers license and a safe driving record
- Physically capable of climbing ladders high elevations and lift up to 50 pounds
- Available to travel up to 25
- Available to be on call nights and weekend as required
- Basic computer skills for documentation
Pay Range:
This job will pay a hourly rate ideally between $35 $55 per hour depending on experience. This is an nonexempt position that is eligible for overtime.
