Located in the heart of New Orleans and serving clients nationally were seeking a Software Engineer with a strong background in Elixir Python & Node to help us continue to deliver strategic software solutions. Role & Responsibilities:
Architect and develop new software features and systems using Elixir and the Phoenix web framework.
Collaborate with crossfunctional teams including clients to convert business needs into technical specifications and solutions.
Write clean maintainable and efficient code while adhering to best practices.
Perform robust unit and integration testing and continuous code reviews to ensure highquality product releases.
Troubleshoot debug and upgrade existing systems for performance and scalability.
Manage individual project priorities deadlines and deliverables.
Mentor junior engineers and promote skill development within the team.
Stay abreast of emerging trends in software engineering and apply them to the development process where applicable.
Qualifications:
Proficiency in Elixir and the Phoenix web framework.
Strong grasp on frontend technologies including HTML CSS and JavaScript.
Indepth knowledge of SQL and experience with PostgreSQL databases.
Experience developing applications with React and React Native.
Proficiency in Python showcasing the ability to work across multiple programming languages.
Solid understanding of functional programming OTP (Open Telecom Platform) and concurrency.
Extensive practice with RESTful API design and implementation.
Proficient use of version control tools specifically GitHub.
Experience with cloud infrastructures such as AWS or GCP and containerization technologies like Docker.
Strong analytical abilities paired with excellent problemsolving skills.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Nice to Have:
Contributions to open source projects.
Experience with GraphQL APIs.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and practices.
Knowledge of mobile app development for iOS or Android.
Understanding of machine learning.
Comfort with DevOps practices and infrastructure as code.
Prior experience in a Lean Agile development environment.
Experience in a fastpaced startup or highgrowth technology environment.
