Summary/Objective:
Orthopedic Associates of Lancaster (OAL) is a leader in orthopedic care with five locations across Lancaster and Lebanon counties. We are seeking an energetic individual looking for employment to gain patient care experience. Ideal candidates are prephysical therapy or prephysical therapy assistant students preparing for clinical rotation. The physical therapy aide assists physical therapists and physical therapy assistants in the implementation of patient rehabilitation programs to help improve patient mobility function and strength.
Essential Functions:
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Assist patients in preparing for therapy and return trip.
Assists with dressing and undressing and removing and putting on braces or supportive equipment prostheses or crutches.
Provides support to the PT/PTA team to record data progress during therapy sessions.
Provides support to the PT/PTA team by helping to answers patient inquiries.
Straightens and cleans rooms.
Assists patients with keeping track of counting exercises.
Cleans and prepares equipment for therapy sessions.
Required Education and Experience:
High School Diploma/GED is required.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Experience working with the public is preferred.
Enrollment in a physical therapy/PTA program is preferred.
