It plays a crucial role in broader process of Project Management addressing the unique aspects of capital project . Materials Management integrates the Engineering Supply Chain and Construction organizations to ensure smooth material flow from planning through to project jobsites.

Engineering and constructing unique projects involve an iterative series of design supply and construct activities all under strict schedule requirements. Early engineering design and the specification of equipment and materials especially in compressed schedules are often influenced by sourcing principles and material flow model that determine the acquisition strategy what equipment and materials are required and the schedules that are achievable to meet Constructions needs towards work front planning and constructability reporting.

The Integrated Materials Management organization collaborates with Engineering Supply Chain Project Controls and Construction to respond to the dynamic conditions of major capital projects. This collaboration ensures access to critical information on sourcing and supply of materials facilitating the completion of facility design and enabling Construction to meet installation schedules.

There are two distinct roles within Supply Chains Integrated Materials Management discipline Material Planners and Material Coordinators. Material Planners typically work within the design office coordinating the early project development and planning with Engineering Supply Chain Project Controls. Material Coordinators interface with the design office but typically work from the construction site to provide material constructability input to Constructions work front planning.

Job Summary:

In this role you will support business lines and project team members regarding the Material Planning and/or Material Coordination for assigned project. Planning involves providing strategy work process and system expertise during the early project development and planning stages. Coordination includes providing process and tools to project teams that communicate material availability accuracy and timeliness to the correct location to ensure the required materials to complete the project are available.

Assignment in the Design office is designated as parttime telework per our global telework policy and will require at least three days of inperson attendance per week at the assigned office or project.
