What We Need YOU To Do:
The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency wants you to be our newest financial program manager in the Division of Surface Water (DSW) working at our Central Office in Columbus Ohio.
Ready to dig in
As DSWs financial program manager you will manage and coordinate federal subgrant agreements awarded by DSW including those related to the Gulf Lakes Restoration Initiative the expansion of the Gulf Hypoxia Task Force and the American Rescue Plan Act. Youll formulate and implement grant financial management program policies and administer all DSW federal subgrant agreements and statefunded grantor agreements awarded by DSW.
Youll work with program managers to select grantees and subgrantees and represent the agency at federal state and local government meetings. Youll ensure subgrantee compliance with federal reporting requirements manage the subgrant tracking system and prepare various reports as needed. Youll meet and coordinate with applicants consultants and members of the public to assist with meeting program requirements.
Additionally youll prepare written correspondence guidance documents and reference materials to develop presentations and training workshops for subgrantees on grant requirements. Youll also conduct desk audits and onsite audits of subgrantee fiscal records and represent the agency at relevant conferences workshops and meetings.
Lets mainstream it:
- Manage and coordinate federal subgrant agreements awarded by DSW.
- Administer all DSW federal subgrant agreements and statefunded grantor agreements awarded by DSW. Work with DSW program managers to select grantees and subgrantees.
- Oversee federal subgrant monitoring program to ensure compliance with state and federal grant guidance and regulations.
- Review and approve fiscal reports payment requests and progress reports. Ensure subgrantee compliance with federal reporting requirements.
- Conduct desk audits and onsite audits of subgrantee fiscal records.
- Ensure appropriate subgrant work plans and environmental deliverables are developed; coordinate activities between grant and program staff.

- 54 mos. exp. or 54 mos. trg. financial administration.
- OR completion of undergraduate core program in public or business administration accounting finance or related field; AND 30 mos. exp. or 30 mos. trg. in financial administration.
- OR completion of graduate core program in public or business administration accounting finance or related field; AND 18 mos. exp. or 18 mos. trg. in financial administration.
- OR equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above. NOTE: Successful completion of the Fiscal Academy may be substituted for 4 mos. of required accounting/fiscal experience referenced in this portion of the minimum qualifications.
