Job Description
Responsibilities & Qualifications
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Senior Cyber Security Analyst will lead efforts to apply security principles practices and procedures under the Risk Management Framework to maintain compliance with applicable security regulations such as Committee on National Security Systems Instructions (CNS SI) National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) and applicable Intelligence Community Directives. The analyst will contribute to integrated teams that:
- Monitor analyze and detect Cyber events and incidents within information systems and networks under general supervision
- Assist with integrated dynamic Cyber defense coordinate and maintain security toolsets to support organizations continuous monitoring and ongoing authorization programs
- Develop security assessment plans for systems including the objectives scope schedule documentation possible risks and other logistical items for security assessments; develop cloud service provider testing approach from security perspective
- Provide validation of security control tests for cloud service providers
- Coordinating access to systems and approvals for scanning activities
- Conducts ad hoc testing on an asneeded basis to assist with development activities or vulnerability remediation
- Reviews/tests system security controls (managerial operational and technical) to determine adequacy against federal requirements (e.g. NIST SP 80053 and mission context
- Documents plans of action and milestones for corrective action following assessment activities and in response to identified vulnerabilities
- Drafts security policies and procedures including the system security plan and agency specific policies in accordance with NIST requirements
- Routinely conducts risk assessments to quantify impacts of vulnerabilities.
- Manage and control changes to specific systems assessing the security impact of those changes and maintaining system security configuration
- Support achievement of Authorizations to Develop (ATD) Authorizations to Test (ATT) and Authorizations to Operate (ATO) and working with the customer to streamline ATD ATT and ATO activities
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Currently possess an active Top Secret security clearance
- Years of experience required with degree: BS 57 Years MS 35 PhD 02
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
- CompTIA Security
- Cloud provider Security Certifications such as AWS Certified Security Specialty
