DescriptionWe are looking for a Book keeping and Payroll Administrator for our growing practice. This is full time role fiully remote. The MYOB Accounting and Bookkeeping Specialist is responsible for managing the financial records and transactions of the company using the MYOB accounting software. This role involves maintaining accurate and uptodate accounting records preparing financial reports and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
RequirementsKey Responsibilities:
- Bookkeeping and Data Entry:
- Enter financial transactions into the MYOB accounting system including invoices payments expenses and journal entries.
- Reconcile bank statements credit card statements and other financial records to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Accounts Payable and Receivable: - Manage accounts payable processes including recording supplier invoices processing payments and reconciling vendor accounts.
- Monitor accounts receivable to track customer invoices follow up on overdue payments and manage collections as necessary.
Payroll Processing: - Process payroll transactions including employee salary payments deductions and statutory contributions.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations superannuation requirements and other payrollrelated obligations.
Financial Reporting: - Prepare and generate financial reports using MYOB software such as profit and loss statements balance sheets and cash flow statements.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends variances and opportunities for improvement and provide insights to management as needed.
Tax Compliance: - Assist in the preparation of tax returns BAS/GST statements and other statutory filings in compliance with Australian tax laws.
- Keep abreast of changes in tax regulations and accounting standards to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
MonthEnd and YearEnd Close: - Assist in the monthend and yearend closing processes including reconciling accounts preparing adjusting entries and conducting financial analysis.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as auditors and finance teams to facilitate smooth and accurate financial reporting.
Recordkeeping and Documentation: - Maintain organized and uptodate accounting records including physical and electronic files in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure documentation of financial transactions and processes is accurate complete and easily accessible for audit purposes.
Qualifications and Skills: - Diploma or Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field.
- Proven experience in accounting and bookkeeping roles with proficiency in using MYOB accounting software.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles practices and procedures with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Knowledge of Australian tax regulations BAS/GST requirements and payroll processing.
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and generate meaningful insights.
- Effective communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to collaborate with crossfunctional teams.
- Organizational and timemanagement abilities with the capacity to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fastpaced environment.
- Professionalism integrity and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and compliance with ethical standards in financial management.
