Job Description
Place of performance: Philadelphia Navy Yard (also known as the Philadelphia Naval Business Center (PNBC).
Hours of Operation: 7:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. five days per week Monday through Friday except observed Federal holidays.
Duties:
- The MaintenanceTrades Helper assists one or more workers in the skilled maintenance trades by performing specific or general duties of lesser skill such as:
- Ensuring all workers are supplied with materials and tools cleaning the working area machine and equipment; assisting the journeyman by holding materials or devices; and performing other unskilled tasks as directed by the journeyman.
- May perform specialized operations or parts of a trade that workers also perform.
- Perform other related duties as directed.

- Education: High school or GED diploma.
