Job Description
RPO Recruitment is actively seeking a dedicated Diesel Mechanic to join our clients team in Middelburg. As a Diesel Mechanic you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of a range of dieselpowered vehicles and equipment used in various applications. This role is ideal for a reliable and skilled mechanic who thrives in a supportive team environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine maintenance and inspections of diesel machinery and vehicles
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform necessary repairs
- Replace parts and components as required
- Keep accurate records of repairs and maintenance work
- Perform preventative maintenance to prolong the life of equipment
- Adhere to safety and environmental regulations
- Collaborate with team members to address repairs in a timely manner
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Diesel Mechanic Trade Certificate
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in diesel mechanics preferably in a similar environment
- Strong understanding of diesel engines and related systems
- Proficient in using diagnostic tools and repair equipment
- Strong problemsolving and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team
- Effective communication skills
- Valid drivers license
- Salary: negotiable
