Ngamai Wilam is a newly built 12bed residential eating disorder treatment facility in Armadale set to open in May 2025. Jointly funded by the Australian Federal Government and the Victorian Government this specialist statewide service will be managed by Alfred Health.
Ngamai Wilam provides 24/7 traumainformed recoveryfocused care for adults aged 18 and over in a genderinclusive homelike therapeutic environment. With a strong emphasis on family and chosen supports our team is dedicated to personcentred care that promotes longterm recovery.
As an Enrolled Nurse you will:
Play a vital role in supporting individuals through their recovery journey in a residential setting.
Provide personcentred traumainformed and recoveryoriented care under the delegation and supervision of a Registered Nurse.
Monitor participants mental and physical health support daily therapeutic activities and contribute to care planning.
Deliver evidenceinformed interventions tailored to the unique needs of individuals experiencing eating disorders.
Work within the Victorian Mental Health and Wellbeing Act 2022 and other relevant legislation.
Collaborate with the clinical and lived experience workforce to foster a therapeutic environment that upholds dignity choice and selfdetermination.
Diploma of Nursing (Enrolled Nurse) with AHPRA registration.
Medication Endorsement (must be listed on AHPRA registration).
Experience in mental health nursing and/or eating disorders.
Commitment to recoveryoriented and traumainformed practice.
Experience in residential inpatient or community mental health settings.
Experience providing therapeutic care for individuals with eating disorders across hospital community or specialist settings.
Knowledge of Dialogical Practice and its application in mental health care (desirable).
Australian working rights.
Current Victorian Drivers License Working with Children Check and Background Check.
