The U.S. Consumer Services and Enterprise Digital & Data Technology Team brings together foundational strategic technology capabilities in digital experience engineering (Mobile and Web) AI/ML marketing technology enterprise communications travel and lifestyle and automation grounded in our data technology model that prioritizes data governance. It employs a groundbreaking focus with development responsibilities for customerfacing capabilities that deepen and expand digital engagement as well as core technical capabilities that cut across business lines and customer segments.
How will you make an impact in this role
This is an opportunity to part of the Enterprise Data Privacy (the technical implementation of Privacy Capabilities GDPR compliant processes and external data sharing) while heavily influencing a series of Enterprise Technology capabilities (e.g. AI/ML Big Data Cloud RealTime Event Processing & Analytics etc. and Privacy counsel to support the endtoend development and of Amexs data management strategy and to drive engineering excellence.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Be a very skilled engineer with experience across programming languages data integration technologies and data management pipelines.
- Partner with business product engineering and data science teams to unlock the power of using data across Amex by translating business requirements/problems to solutions products or services.
- Partner Enterprise Tech Data Strategy & Architecture team to develop and implement software that meets the technology and business needs including creating a highly scalable data management pipelines comprising of operational and product data to build a Data fabric foundation for the company.
- Engineer complex solutions and ensure that they are in alignment with the data architecture principles standards strategies and target states.
- Adopting industry leading technologies to support bestinclass business capabilities for high quality computing and data storage solutions
Qualifications :
- . / B.E. / . / M.S. in Computer Science or relevant field
- 1 to 3 years of experience in design and development of highly scalable applications and platform development
- Extensive handson experience building services using these technologies( JavaSpringboot Microservices)
- In depth knowledge and Handson working experience on Restful web services
- Good Knowledge in messaging systems: Kafka/RabbitMQ
- Working knowledge of SQL and NoSQL database technologies.
- Knowledge on unit testing frameworks (JunitJest Spock etc) and code quality control platforms like Sonar
- CI/CD development environments/tools: Git Maven Gradle Docker Kubernetes Jenkins Azure DevOps
- Good to have Experience in implementing DistributedCache(Redis/Hazlecast)
- WellVersed with Logging and Metrics tools and technologies (ELK/Splunk/Grafana)
- Stronghands ondevelopment skills to prototype technical solutions.
- Strong desire to inspire change and ability to adapt to change quickly. Willing to learn new and emerging technologies.
- Hosted &Participatedin architecture Review & Design/Code Review events.
- Hands on System Designing experience.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills including negotiation facilitation and consensus building skills; ability to influence and persuade without direct control.
- Practitioner of Agile (Scrum)methodology
- Have excellent written and verbal communications skills. Create and deliver effective presentations to Senior Leadership.
- Familiarity with design patterns and antipatterns
Salary Range: $70000.00 to $135000.00 annually bonus benefits
