Job Description
- Prepping and assisting the physician during office visits (documenting patient history scribing charting and billing).
- Prepping and assisting the physician with intravitreal injection and other inoffice procedures.
- First assist and scrub for physicians surgical cases in ASC.
- Obtaining diagnostic tests as ordered by the provider as needed.
- Assist with clinical tasks.
- Assist with sterilization of equipment and maintenance of all associated logbooks.
- Assist with patient workups as needed.
- Assist with medication reconciliation through CubixxMD.
- Assist with medication transfers to satellite offices.
- Can effectively communicate with patients and staff.
- Can respond appropriately and effectively to common inquiries from patients.
- Basic computer knowledge and the ability to learn new computer skills.
- Requires strong communication skills excellent judgment and the ability to multitask.
- Requires excellent interpersonal skills.
- Requires a good understanding of customer service standards and values of the practice.
- High school diploma or GED
- COA certification a plus but not required; willingness to work towards certification over a period of time.
- 1 years of experience working in a retina clinic.
