The UHealthUniversity of Miami Health System IT Department has an opportunity for a fulltime Epic Analyst 3 Physician Informatics to work in Miami.
The Epic Analyst 3 Physician Informatics initiates the implementation builds and modifies complex applications and collaborates with key stakeholders endusers and application team members to optimize the applications configuration function and access. The incumbent supports junior staff members in daytoday operations and resolving application issues.
Core Responsibilities:
Collaborates with key stakeholders endusers and application team members to optimize the applications configuration function and access.
Serves as a primary support contact for application endusers.
Initiates the design development implementation and maintenance of the application.
Initiates all phases of testing and the documentation of workflow design.
Performs the analysis of information technology in clinical work processes and validates the impacts to the workflow.
Initiates the identification of issues and guides the work to resolve them.
Supports junior staff members in the evaluation and resolution of service tickets identification and implementation of application changes retrieval of requested data and of daytoday operations.
Collaborates with trainers on application changes and new features to develop documentation and training strategies.
Works with stakeholders the business community and end users to ensure the application meets UHealths business/clinical needs.
Participates in oncall rotations and support and attend and participates in applicable committees.
Maintains regular communication with team members including participating in weekly project team meetings.
Reviews the status of projects and issues on an ongoing basis with leadership.
Remains knowledgeable about UHealths policies procedures and business operations.
Adheres to University and unitlevel policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.
Department Specific Functions:
35 days per week onsite presence is required.
Analyze design and build workflows across clinical spaces: Ambulatory Inpatient Surgical
Incorporates research and evidencebased knowledge into workflow design
Collaborates with end users clinical leaders and Chief Medical Informatics Officer in an agile fashion to enhance Epic to improve patient safety and outcomes by designing developing implementing and educating on use of clinical application tools
Creates a communications strategy for workflow design for nursing/clinical informatics in concert with the overall IT communication strategy
Works with vendors to proactively strategize on development and/or enhancement of clinical information system solutions to meet organizational business needs
Collaborates with clinical and executive leaders in planning developing and implementing program expansion and growth including new business ventures and projects
Design develop and modify the electronic health record to establish standards for clinical documentation and improve patient care outcomes
Develops and engages end users to support workflow optimization and changes including Epic upgrades and ongoing enhancements
Provides critical analysis and evaluation of Epic workflow and recommends revision of clinical systems processes and workflow to ensure achievement of positive patient outcomes
Collaborate with other Epic Application teams to design and develop integrated Epic workflow

CORE QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors degree in relevant field
Multiple Epic Certifications required: EpicCare Ambulatory (required) And/or EpicCare MyChart EpicCare OpTime or other Epic application
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
Ability to work evenings nights and weekends as necessary.
Proficiency in computer software (i.e. Microsoft Office).
Ability to recognize analyze and solve a variety of problems.
Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form.
Ability to lead motivate develop and train others.
Any appropriate combination of relevant education experience and/or certifications may be considered.
